Associated Parts and Using for COM Fabric Orders

Because of low margins in the furniture industry, margin erosion becomes a huge problem for a dealership. When items are forgotten such as freight for COM fabrics or for ancillary items or a typo is made, they start to erode at your margin quickly. They are not intentional but when someone is under the gun to make a deadline, things happen or get missed. Human error is the most common factor for margin erosion. That is why we work so hard to make e-manage|ONE smarter so e-manage|ONE can handle it for you because e-manage|ONE will never forget, never call in sick, doesn’t care about deadlines and has no emotions to interfere.

The following video will show you how to use Associated Parts and what they can do to help automate your estimating and help to reduce margin erosion.

The example we use is for ancillary / miscellaneous manufacturers that are not available in any electronic catalog such as 2020 or Project Matrix. We added parts to the built in e-manage|ONE parts database and than set them up to use associated parts for items such as freight, installation, COM fabrics and so on so they are not mistakenly forgot on your quest. We also so how you can use associated parts for COM fabrics. They are so flexible that you could probably come up with a use for them that we have not though of yet.

See the Associated Parts Configuration Training video for more info on how to setup Associated Parts and contact support with any questions or additional help.
